The CR-I is exactly the same as the CR-E except the outer bindings are ebony, with maple/ebony purflings visible from the front and back.

This combination provides for an even colour separation for the standard honey/blonde finish as shown on the first example.

The second guitar is finished in a light honey toner.

A third option is an amber toner.
